The Des Moines Office has a need for 2 support group facilitators at this time. One is located at Prairie Hills Retirement Community (held the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00pm) and one at the Unitarian Church (held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at noon). Support Group Facilitators create a safe, open environment where people share their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a combined effort to better cope with and manage the shared problems of dementia. The goal of the Alzheimer's association support groups is to provide emotional, social and/or educational support to group members.
