Tanager Place is partnering with YPN, Eastern Iowa Health Center and HACAP to better serve the needs of families in our community through the Eastern Iowa Diaper Bank.
Eastern Iowa Diaper Bank (EIDB) is a member of the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN). The network is leading a national movement to safeguard one of the most basic needs of all babies and their families, access to clean, dry diapers. EIDB, housed at YPN’s We Care Shop, currently distributes approximately 13,000 per month. We are in search of a Diaper Bank Volunteers to help on with the following duties:
- Welcome donors and participants into Shop when coming to donate or shop.
- Actively interact with participants and their children to create a welcoming and positive environment.
- Help to receive donations, fill out receipt, and prepare the donations to be put out in the shop.
- Assist participants and checking out and bagging the items they purchased.
- Stock shelves in the shop as needed and keep all items organized and easy to find for shoppers.
Shifts available: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00am-3:00pm
Location: We Care Shop - 420 6 th St SE, Cedar Rapids

Description
Since 1879, Tanager Place has been focused on helping children and families through mental health treatment, prevention and outreach. Today, Tanager Place provides an extensive array of programs designed to help children with behavioral, emotional or psychiatric disorders achieve success. Thousands of children find healing through Tanager Place’s comprehensive outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic, inpatient, and community-based programs each year.
Our programs offer healing and treatment for children who are struggling emotionally, who are challenged by a mental health disorder such as Autism, or who have been diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder. Tanager Place also serves 600 at-risk children at Camp Tanager annually.
We offer one of the greatest levels of professional care for children in Eastern Iowa, with an extensive array of programs designed to fit children's unique needs.
