Harmony at the Farm Fundraiser Event on 8/10 at H.O.G. Farm in Brookhaven, NY
Harmony cafe is raising funds to obtain office/center space in the Patchogue area.
We are hosting a wonderful event that will include a BBQ -Live Music-Raffles and more.
We are in need a few wonderful volunteers to help us before and on the day of the event.
Below is a brief description of the positions, more details will be given. You have the option to do more than one task.
Before the event.
1. Volunteers to help solicit donations to be used in a raffle from area businesses
2. Help with creating baskets to be raffled off.
3. Help sell tickets for the event.
4. Videographer to create a promotioal video to used to advertise the event on social media and website.
The positions needed at the event
1. Grill master to cook basic foods-hamburgers-hotdogs-veggie burgers. (2) volunteers
2. Help serving salads and grilled food at the Buffett table and clean up after food is served.
3. Set up tables and chairs food and beverage stations at the event and help break down at the end of the event. (if only can do the setup or break down, it can be arranged)
4. Photographer to take pictures before and during the event.
5. Videographer to take video before and after the event.
6. Clean up crew after the event.
7. Host to go around to make sure guests have what they need and if there are any concerns or needs that need to be addressed.

Our Vision: We strive to build a healthy community by providing delicious and nutritious food in a respectful and dignified manner to anyone who walks through the door and wants to contribute to our community. We envision that the quality of the food and the comfortable atmosphere will draw people from all walks of life and entice them to become involved. Volunteers will feel satisfied by their experience on many levels because the cafe is a vehicle that positively impacts our community environmentally, economically, and socially.
History Since April 2016, Harmony Cafe has hosted meal events, primarily at the VFW hall on Edwards Street in Patchogue, NY. We use a Pay-What-You-Can pricing donation model, which can be exchanged for volunteer hours. This encourages more community involvement and allows us to encourage people to join us from all socioeconomic backgrounds. During the pandemic, we switched to emergency food relief. In 2021, we added a wellness program that provides health education and access to healthy food.

- Must be at least 19
- Orientation or Training
- 3 to 8 hours at the event
- There will be alcohol at the event and stick enforcement of 21 and over to obtain a drink after the event. No drinking during the event. All Volunteers will be given a meal and beverages.
