ORGANIZATION: Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity

HnA 2019

Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity is excited to bring back its largest summer fundraising event Hammer 'n' Ale- this time, with craft brewing twist! We are working with longtime partner Odell Brewing Company to bring a one-of-a-kind summer event complete with samples from tasty local restaurants, live music, cold brews, grab bags, and more.

Hammer 'n’ Ale Handcrafted will end at 9 pm, and we will start breaking down the event at that time. Break down is anticipated to only take about an hour, so volunteers should come in closed toe shoes and be prepared to move! Tasks include, but are not limited to:

-Tearing down Habitat tents

-Breaking down and collecting tables, linens, chairs, centerpieces, and mission/event signage

-Moving hand stations, compost signage, and trash bins

-Assisting the band with tear down

All volunteers will be given a volunteer shirt to wear to distinguish themselves. Please e-mail Abby to share your shirt size.

To register for this shift or other Hammer 'n' Ale volunteer opportunities, create your profile at http://hna.fortcollinshabitat.volunteerhub.com/. Any questions? Contact Abby Krstulic- 970-488-2610, akrstulic@fortcollinshabitat.org.

Mission Statement

Seeking to put God's love into action, Fort Collins Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Description

Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity partners with local families to provide affordable homeownership opportunities. Families go through an application process to be selected and qualify by income, ability to pay a mortgage, residency, and willingness to partner. Once selected, families complete sweat equity by attending educational classes about homeownership and by building their home onsite alongside staff and volunteers.
The ReStore is another component of the organization. It serves as a fundraising enterprise to support Habitat' mission of providing affordable homeownership opportunities to local families. The ReStore operates as a thrift store that accepts donations from the community and sells them back at a lower cost.
