Volunteers for the Youth Program at Vive will assist staff in providing social, educational, and recreational programing for the children living at the Vive shelter.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to work with individuals in a helpful, supportive, and patient manner
- Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and languages
- Friendly, dependable and flexible
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist staff in setting up, conducting, and cleaning up programing for children.
- Accompanying children and staff on off-site activities.
- Building supportive and positive relationships with the Vive residents.
- Engage the youth in a safe manner.
- Clean up activity area before leaving the site.
Volunteers will gain valuable experience working with this under-served population. Scheduling is flexible and can accommodate summer vacations.
