ORGANIZATION: Jericho Road Community Health Center

Volunteers for the Youth Program at Vive will assist staff in providing social, educational, and recreational programing for the children living at the Vive shelter.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to work with individuals in a helpful, supportive, and patient manner
  • Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and languages
  • Friendly, dependable and flexible

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist staff in setting up, conducting, and cleaning up programing for children.
  • Accompanying children and staff on off-site activities.
  • Building supportive and positive relationships with the Vive residents.
  • Engage the youth in a safe manner.
  • Clean up activity area before leaving the site.

Volunteers will gain valuable experience working with this under-served population. Scheduling is flexible and can accommodate summer vacations.
