As a Volunteer Driver with Ride Connection you’ll provide a life changing service and keep Veterans and their spouses moving by providing them a ride. It’s a simple way to thank those who have served and make a difference in your community.

Make new friends, receive training, become part of a positive and supportive organization, and keep Veterans moving.

Ride Connection provides half a million free rides annually to older adults, Veterans, and people with disabilities in the Portland metro area. Our mission is to link accessible transportation with community need, and we can fulfill this mission with caring volunteers like you.

Our volunteer driver roles come with a lot of flexibility. You let us know when, where, and how often you would like to drive and if you would like to drive one of our cars or receive mileage reimbursement while driving your own vehicle.

For the safety and comfort of our customers, we ask that volunteer drivers are able to pass a national criminal background check with fingerprinting, have a clean driving record, and be willing to learn about safety and best practices for customer service through provided training.
