Greater Works, Inc. is a community-based organization, striving to bring the rewards of volunteerism and seeks to maintain a bridge of wisdom and knowledge for generations to come. Together we can share hopes and dreams, find fellowship and friendship, and produce a voice so all may hear and heed.

Description

Greater Works, Inc. is a non-profit(501c3) organization that promotes self and community understanding through programs that specialize in the following: health and wellness, childcare, artistic expression, social events, financial independence seminars, computer education, literacy, after school programs, and volunteerism. Greater Works strongly believes that by initially targeting the attitudes that residents have with respect to themselves, one can begin to address the concerns within the community and develop goal-oriented solutions that produce continual economic and community development. Our objective is to also bridge Senior Adults and Youth together. This is being accomplished through our volunteer initiatives. Those projects are: "Sit with Me" Program -Greater Works, Inc. has adopted theSignatureHealthcareCenter inAtlanta. Volunteers will visit other nursing facilities as well and donate necessary items and involve youth interaction. Youth Partnership -Greater Works, Inc. will support youth activities throughout the city by boosting team morale and awarding those for their efforts and good conduct. Youth will receive award items and support during sporting events and other team activities. Keep our Neighborhood Clean Project -Greater Works, Inc. will volunteer to assist in the cleaning efforts of neighborhoods. GWI will also unite with the cause of "Beautification Projects" that will encourage residents, other local organizations, and business to beautify and maintain the up keep of surrounding communities.
