Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Mobile Minis! We are located in Osteen, FL. 407-474-1748
If you are interested in training to become a handler or helper to assist with sessions at the barn or to go on site visits with us, you can go through our orientation and training to see if we are a good fit. If you are interested in helping at the barn with barn chores, caring for grooming and walking minis...we've go that too! We will train the right people for these positions. You will have the opportunity to help to facilitate sessions with the community and with our Mini Tales reading program (at the barn and/or off site). You must be able to volunteer 1 1/2 hours a couple times a month (or as often as you'd like) Handlers & Helpers are also required to have a background check that will be provided for you at no cost to you.
Once trained you will have access to our personal calendar so you can pick and choose events that you would like to sign up to help with.
Please know that all Volunteering is done by appointment only, no drop-in's please.

Description
Mobile Minis is a 501c3, non-profit equine therapy outreach serving everyone, especially the under-served children/adults with physical, developmental or mental disabilities in our community with our loving rescued and donated miniature horses! We operate out of our barn in Osteen, FL. We also visit assisted living facilities, hospices, schools, homes, memory care centers, churches, hospitals and more. We have a program called Mini Tales that promotes literacy. Children to adults come out and read to our minis. We partner with home school groups to bring out children (5 and up) for a fun field trip to the barn. And so much more...

- Sessions at the barn : 1 & 1/2 hours, offsite visits are less than an hour. Special events are a max of two hours. You pick and choose, sign up for as many or as few events as you like. Life happens so we know you can cancel when you need to.
