If you like birthdays and celebrations then this is the volunteer opportunity for you! Box of Balloons - Lexington, KY is looking for volunteers to help our local chapter make each birthday happy and every child celebrated! Volunteers are contacted as requests for birthday boxes are submitted. Any volunteer can choose to sign up to provide a particular item/items (such as decorations, cupcakes, gifts) for each birthday box. Volunteer on your terms, as many times as you would like!
You do not have to live in the Lexington metro area to participate. We welcome anyone and everyone wanting to help make kiddos smile! But please know we will welcome your help and generosity for Lexington’s youth with open arms!

Box of Balloons, Inc. - Lexington, KY is on a mission to make each birthday happy and every child celebrated. Each child deserves to feel special, be celebrated and have a memorable party. Unfortunately that is not possible for many families. In America 18% of children live below the poverty level. We believe that a birthday celebration can give families the joy and hope they may be missing.
Description
Box of Balloons, Inc. - Lexington, KY is a local chapter of nonprofit organization Box of Balloons. Our local chapter works with a network of volunteers to fulfill birthday wishes and deliver birthday boxes to children in need. It’s really as easy as it sounds! With each birthday request, volunteers are contacted to help provide supplies (decorations, gift, cupcakes, favors, tableware and an activity) - if a volunteer is able to participate they may sign up that time or choose to wait for a future birthday box. As we have just started the Lexington chapter, our goal is to provide 2-4 birthday boxes per month, as based on requests from social workers, therapists, counselors, etc.
