Our purpose is to offer long-lasting solutions that enable women to break the cycle of poverty. Dress for Success is part of a global movement for change, empowering women to obtain safer and better futures. We provide each client with professional attire to secure employment, but we are about much more than simply a new outfit. Besides physically equipping the client with apparel and accessories, our programs furnish her with a confidence that she carries forever and the knowledge that she can actively define her life, the direction she takes and what success means to her.
With a small staff of 3.5, we could not do any of this without volunteers...
Bring your team in to volunteer at Dress For Success Seattle! We can accommodate groups of up to 25 and as small as 3-4 for what we call "Sorting Parties". Help with inventory maintenance: sorting donations, steaming clothes, organizing our huge closet space, sorting accessories, assisting with admin tasks, etc! It's a great way to bond with co-workers while giving back to the community.
You're welcome to book a Sorting Party anytime Monday through Thursday from 10am - 4pm, and I generally suggest shifts of between one and four hours. :)
