Who We Are:

Angel Flight West is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization that arranges free, non-emergency air travel for children and adults with serious medical conditions and other compelling needs. Our network of 1,400+ pilots throughout the 12 western states donate their aircraft, piloting skills, and all flying costs to help families in need, enabling them to receive vital treatment that might otherwise be inaccessible because of financial, medical, or geographic limitations. Angel Flight West has been in operation for over 36 years with 80,000 flights and continues to ascend to new heights!

Responsibilities:

Angel Flight West is looking for volunteers to support ongoing operational needs of AFW. Tasks may include but are not limited to general office duties such as filing and mailing, as well as making phone calls to our volunteer pilots and passengers. We are looking for someone who would be comfortable speaking with passengers at length and going over our policies and procedures with them in preparation for their first flights.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal volunteer will be mission-driven and able to join a dedicated team who is passionate about removing transportation as a barrier to health and hope.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills - especially telephone communications with volunteer pilots and people from a wide variety of social and economic backgrounds in need of our services.

If you don’t enjoy speaking on the phone, we could always use volunteers to help with database management and social media.
