Seeking services as a domestic violence victim can be daunting. As the first face some our clients see, our administrative volunteers help provide comfort just by providing a smiling face and positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones and transferring calls
  • Sorting mail into the correct staff mail box
  • Answering the door for visitors or clients arriving for appointments
  • Light Clerical Duties
  • Data Entry (if needed or able)
  • Donation organization (if needed or able

Requirements:

  • Complete and return an application
  • Short, informal interview with Volunteer Coordinator
  • 13 hours of training (10 online, 3 in person)
  • Must be 18
  • Must complete a background check (paid by volunteer)

Shift length varies depending on the day, but we are currently seeking daytime volunteers to assist during the week and monthly volunteers the last Tuesday of each month from 1:00-3:00. Additional opportunities are available with a weeks’ notice for scheduled staff PTO, as well as on-call for emergency coverage for staff illness, etc.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build an administrative skill set and make new relationships within their community. The Crisis Center will provide all necessary training.
