Stencil downtown St. Paul storm drains + taproom outing at Tin Whiskers Brewing

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Friends of the Mississippi River

If you've spent some time roaming the streets of St. Paul, you may have noticed a message painted near the storm drains. Now is your chance to leave your mark in the name of water quality! After a brief introduction and presentation about runoff pollution at the brewery from Friends of the Mississippi River (FMR) staff, we'll head out to the nearby downtown streets to stencil storm drains on July 29, from 6-8 pm.

Participants should be prepared to walk approximately one mile while completing their mapped stenciling route.

After the stenciling activity, we'll reconvene back at the taproom to enjoy a pint or a flight to cheers our great work and learn more about Tin Whiskers Brewing Company! Mission Statement

Friends of the Mississippi River (FMR) engages people to protect, restore and enhance the Mississippi River and its watershed in the Twin Cities region.

Description

Friends of the Mississippi River is proud to work with roughly 3,000 volunteers annually.

We keep volunteering simple, fun and satisfying -- there are no applications, and you can sign up for one event or several. We list events especially in need of volunteers here on VolunteerMatch.com, but maintain a full calendar of 60+ events a year at www.fmr.org/events.

Our project work includes conservation and restoration of natural areas and habitat, education on watershed protection issues, and organizing activities that connect the public to the Mississippi River.
