Mission Statement

Our mission is to try to #helpthehoomans. And in turn, we will help even the smallest of pets We provide them with shelter, food, and medical care. Hoping that one day they will find their forever home. And if this is not possible, because of a terminal illness or behavioral issue, then they will live out their lives here at the rescue.

Description

We are a 501(c)3 non profit tax exempt animal (All pet from Sugar Gliders, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, birds, snakes etc) rescue. We take in owner surrendered, found and abandoned animals, and get them the medical care and to a safe environment that they need. We try to find homes for these animals, after adoption applications and home visits. Many of the species are also allowed to be Class Room pets at Various Local Schools. Several of the "Long Time Residents" have become permanent pets of PSSCR, and these go to the Nursing Homes, Adult Day Cares, Child Day Cares, Schools, Libraries and other local outings to teach about these exotic animals. They enjoy these outings as much as the humans do. We do not charge for these services. We also have "teaching classes" to show Parents and children alike the time and work that having one of these animals as pets entails. We have "Foster to Adopt" programs, that allow people to see what it is like to be the pet parents of these exotic animals. Some of our animals are different than having a cat or a dog. And sometimes, they decide that it is not for them. But many times, they decide that this is exactly what was missing from their family, and they make the adoption final.
