Mission Statement
Climable.org is a woman-run nonprofit that works to make the information and issues behind climate science and clean energy understandable, relatable, and actionable for everyone. We view ourselves as technical translators that help bridge the gap between scientists and citizens to answer the question of how we, as global and local communities, can understand and respond to the increasing threats of climate change.
Description
Climable.org works with at-risk communities by collaborating with local groups to counteract environmental injustices. These projects ensure that residents have access to energy that is equitably priced, from renewable sources, and is reliable during times of crisis such as storms and blackouts. We collaborate locally and internationally to create and empower community microgrids, which also helps participants form a holistic community-scale resilience plan.
