Mission Statement

The Jackson-Madison County Library's Volunteer Program exists to utilize the community to better serve the community.


Our Volunteer Program is being remade entirely to recruit those who have a desire to give back to the community. It is a new program with high goals, which we hope to reach with the community's help. We aim to enlist the help of volunteers on a regular basis in order to allow operations run more smoothly.

  • Most positions require a minimum of 2 hours per week for at least 3 months, though some require only 1 hour a week. Details may be negotiated upon completion of volunteer application.
