Volunteer Duties: Helping with check in/checking ID’s, helping with set up and tear down, helping with yard games and t-shirt sales, other duties as needed. We have two shifts: 1pm-4pm and 4pm-8pm. You can do one, both, or a different time if you need to. Please reach out with specific questions!
Event Description: Join us for the first annual Battle of the Brews benefiting the MDA of Iowa on Saturday, July 20th from 3-7PM at the NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids. Early access is available for VIP ticket holders from 2-3PM. Sip and socialize as breweries across Iowa and the Midwest put their beer in the ring and battle it out for the top spot.
Breweries will have the chance to either create a specialty brew or put in a tried and true brew to compete in the battle. Each brewery will have the opportunity to be paired with a local artist to create a limited-edition brew label.
A panel of judges will determine the Battle of the Brews victor. Each attendee will have one vote to decide the winner of the People’s Choice Award. There will be fun ways to earn more votes for ultra-competitive attendees. The champions will take home the coveted Battle of the Brews trophy and major bragging rights.
Besides beer samples, attendees can enjoy live music, yard games, and purchase foods from various food trucks and carts during the event.

Description
At MDA of Iowa, we support over 1400 families by providing clinics, support groups, medical equipment assistance, and a summer camp for our youth patients age 6-17. We keep our administrative costs low but need volunteers to help!
