Join us in facilitating the Grand Opening of Moore Square on August 3 rd. Volunteers are needed to assist with everything from set-up to activities. Be a part of this exciting day by volunteering with us!

Volunteer Duty Description:
Aid in the set up, running of, and break-down of the Moore Square Grand Opening. Duties may include manning the informational booth, running games and activities, and assisting with art projects.

Game coordinator:
Assist with giant game set-up, running, and cleanup for giant jenga, connect four, cornhole, and more.

Event Information:
Serves as a liaison to the public with event questions.

Volunteer Impact:
By helping at the opening of Moore Square, the volunteer will be assisting in a very important new space and project for the entire community.

Work Environment:
This is an outdoor event in August. In will most likely be loud and crowded. There are various positions, some will require physical activity, some will not. There will be a restroom on site.

Volunteer Requirements:
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to volunteer. All volunteers must sign a release form to volunteer.

Special Instructions:
We are supplying water and a staff badge. Parking is not provided by the event organizers.

Group Registration Information:
Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. A group leader must email mary.owens@raleighnc.gov to register. All groups will be required to provide a list of names and emails for their volunteers.

Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
