Guest Assist Volunteers Needed

Purpose - To assist the staff at the information desk, physically getting patients/guest to departments in the hospital.

Position Description - Volunteer will be walk/escort/transporting patients, families,

guests to departments in hospital, via wheelchair, if needed.

Responsibilities - (Responsibilities can vary but are not limited to these things)

1. Volunteer will be trained by employees/other volunteers
2. Greet and welcome the patients/customers coming into the lobby
3. Letting the guest know you are available to get them to their destination
4. Deliver flowers, cards any other items to nurse’s station
5. Wiping down wheelchairs after each use

Skills Preferred -

1. Good communication skills
2. Customer service oriented
3. Must be able to walk/push patients in wheelchairs
4. Must always be professional
5. Comfortable talking with all types of guest
