Moving Health is seeking individual(s) to assist in writing grants for the organization. Some research may be needed to uncover new funding opportunities and check on status of existing ones.

Research responsibilities include:

• Researching funding possibilities based on our programs and needs
• Meeting regularly with Moving Health teammates to talk about opportunities
• Ability to commit to 5 hours a week (flexible) for six months researching opportunities, meeting with staff, and creating content.

• Researching, writing, and revising grant proposals
• Gathering necessary information about our programs from team
• Preparing operating budgets, project budgets, and pulling financial information from current files, with support of team
• Bridging connections with grantmaking institutions
• Keeping careful records to track proposals
• Attend regular check-ins with Development Coordinator and Director of Development
• Ability to commit to 5-10 hours a week (flexible) for six months writing grants and meeting with staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates should have previous nonprofit grant writing experience and/or have taken a course in grant writing. Candidate should be a current student or graduate of a communications, English, writing, or related discipline, or have some experience writing grants and/or conducting research.
