Position Title: Senior Arts and Crafts Volunteer Teacher

Purpose/Goal of Position: To create and execute fun and educational art projects for Seniors at the Citadel Corps at Door of Hope Campus. This is a co-teach position

Qualifications/Skills/Certifications Needed:

1. No prior experience in teaching art necessary but must be excited about developing art projects for a group of seniors and assisting them in their art making.
3. Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and participants

Duties/Responsibilities:.

1. Prepare a syllabus and lesson plan for each arts and crafts class, based on student abilities
2. Promote activities to seniors at The Salvation Army Citadel Corps Community Center
3. Responsible for overall set up and clean up of activities
4. Supervise activities for seniors, with first priority is their safety, at all times following The Salvation Army's safety policies for working with seniors

Schedule: Wednesday or Thursday (once per week) from 11:45am to 1pm (must commit to a minimum of 3 months)
