RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a thorough understanding of the mission and programs of Tate's Grant Writer Foundation.
- Learn and master the gift processing procedures and gift acknowledgment procedures.
- Prepare Letters of Intent, grant applications, grant renewals, and/or grant reports.
- Develop and master use of the database. Learn all aspects of the program, from data entry to report preparation.
- Answer phone calls from donors and prospective donors. Provide accurate and timely answers with excellent customer service. Maintain a "can do" attitude for our supporters.
- Administrative work, such as scheduling, preparing mailings, research, reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
- A strong customer service orientation, demonstrating a professional and friendly demeanor and ability to anticipate and provide helpful service to internal and external customers.
- Equivalent work experience, plus one years of progressively more responsible administrative experience in a professional office environment.
- A strong business writer who exhibits professionalism in external and internal communications. Grant writing experience a plus. Excellent oral communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative to organize and coordinate activities/projects and follow through on assignments. Comfortable setting priorities and working with frequent interruptions and multiple requests. Adept at working independently.

Mission Statement
The mission is to be a supportive resource for families in the community; having after school and mentoring programs for the youth, offering job readiness workshops ages ranging (16-21; 22-30; 31-40), feeding the community, clothe drives, support groups and resources to domestic violence women/children and hosting fundraiser; within the Chicago land areas areas working towards Community Affairs, Employment and Educational.
Description
The Better Sister Growth Network is aiming to help domestic violence women/children with developmental training, life skills with assisting in group supports and connecting with shelter's for resources. Helping women and youth with resume building, proper dress etiquette and interview tactics. Becoming involved in the after school program helping the youth with tutoring, homework and avoid unsafe places.
