Project Lift is a nonprofit in Dunnellon serving at-risk teens. We provide substance abuse treatment, mental health counseling, vocational skills training, and mentoring. Our Pathway program provides a way for our clients to earn a nationally accredited high school diploma online. We are seeking retired teachers who would like to help our young men as they complete their studies. No lesson plans or group instruction required, just individual assistance as they work on their classes. Our Pathway hours are Monday through Thursday from 9am to 3pm.

Description

Project LIFT’s primary mission is to invest in the lives of at-risk male teens ages 14-19. The boy's program offers hope for members struggling with substance abuse, lack of support and academic failures. At no cost to members, the program offers mental health/substance abuse therapy, vocational skills training and mentoring. Licensed therapists and skilled volunteers work to help them replace negative behaviors with self-esteem, skill development and positive goals for the future.
