Ninjas--we need your help! Your mission is to keep Nature Ninja 5K safe, fun, and thrilling for all race participants. Nature Ninja is an eco-friendly adventure race intended to inspire appreciation for nature's magnificent challenges. The race promotes healthy, compassionate, and eco-friendly living through a series of education obstacles and post-race activities. The race takes place at a gorgeous botanical garden, featuring over 50 separate garden displays, several cascading waterfalls, beautiful koi ponds, and breathtaking scenery.
We are seeking volunteers to help monitor obstacles and provide instructions to racers, hand out water at the aid stations, and take photos. We are primarily seeking volunteers to help from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., but we also have a few early morning shifts available.
Volunteers will receive a special opportunity to participate in a garden party, starting at 6:00 p.m. A garden tour will be led by Cedar Lakes educator, Emily Martin. There will be a free plant-based dinner, provided by Solutionary Events, along with snacks and beverages. At night, there will be an outdoor movie screening and option for a night hike. Camping at the gardens is only available to volunteers on the evening of July 26th (a once a year opportunity!)! Tell your friends and come join a great cause.
In addition, volunteers will receive:
- a t-shirt
- swag bag
- community service hours (if needed)
- opportunity to meet new friends
