The 2nd Annual "Day of Play" is WEDNESDAY JULY 31, 2019 at Rosa Parks Circle. This community outreach initiative began with a proclamation by Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bliss, and is designed to encourage children and families to get outside and PLAY! A dedicated group of community partners will offer creative, interactive experiences for visitors, including live animals, yard games, crafts, and bubbles! Musical guest Jim Dandy and the Fancy Pants will be performing on the stage. This event is free and open to the public.
Volunteers will be needed from 3-8:30pm to help facilitate activities, direct guests, play with kids, set-up, and tear-down.
Some jobs we will need help with:
- 3 volunteers helping guests with SORT (using the trash/recycle/compost) from 4-8pm, just during the event
- 3-6 volunteers to help with DGRI games, be stationed by them playing and keeping an eye on game pieces from 3:30-8:30pm.
Come join us for this FREE fun family event!
Please contact Bridgette at bmcgee@grcm.org for more details
