The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers to join the event committee of a local non-profit that is committed to supporting disadvantaged youth holistically through each phase of their lives.

Tasks: Work with a team to put together events throughout the course of the year that focus on raising awareness, funds and bringing the community closer.

Qualifications: Professional event planning skills are preferred but not required.

Timeframe: One year. Commit to monthly meetings (1 hour), 4-6 hours of monthly tasks, and assist in coordinating 2-3 events annually.

Location of work: Central office is near the Normal Park neighborhood in Ypsilanti.
