Senior Nutrition Program - Whitmore Lake
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers to help set up, serve, and clean up after affordable lunches for older adults.
Purpose: Provide affordable lunch and time for social interaction for older adults who might otherwise struggle to meet their nutritional needs and social isolation.
Tasks: Unload lunch delivery, prepare food, collect payment, serve lunch, assist with clean up.
Qualifications: Ability to bend, lift, and stand on feet for 1-2 hours. Helpful attitude and is willing to be trained. No experience required.
Timeframe: Senior Cafes are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Volunteers arrive at 10am and leave around 1pm. Sign up for one or more days.
Location of work: Whitmore Lake.
