**Currently the opportunities to volunteer are via phone providing support to patients and/or their families. At this time there are no visits to patients being made. When we are aware that visits will resume, this opportunity will be updated. If you are interested in still volunteering, please reach out and inform in the comments section if you're interested in providing support over the phone during COVID-19 or if you would like to be contacted about volunteering once visits have resumed. Thank you!**

We currently have hospice patients in the Woburn area who are looking for volunteers to come and visit them. This is an amazing opportunity to make a difference in someone's end of life experience. Potential activities with patients can include any of the following:

Reading to patients
Making crafts
Attending activity groups in the facility
Offering companionship
Playing card/board games
Playing music for patients

Mission Statement

The gift of hospice is priceless, giving patients facing a life-limiting illness the freedom to live ALL the days of their lives by offering comfort, dignity, quality of life and time. We take the time to understand the unique needs of each of our patients and their loved ones. Our team of expert and compassionate hospice caregivers works to meet your needs, whether they are physical, emotional or spiritual. We work in close coordination with you, your family and your physician to deliver the best possible hospice care, and we are available to you around the clock.

Join the volunteers at Beacon Hospice and learn how to provide compassionate and dignified end-of-life care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families. The needs are simple--companionship and friendship, emotional support, and someone to listen. Administrative volunteer opportunities are also available.
