Start/Finish Line Shift 1 - Volunteers Needed Rock n Roll Chicago Half Marathon

Volunteers will help hand out pre-race refreshment to the runners, help at the Info/Solutions tent, help provide directional assistance to runners as they arrive and/or help with the Start Line Corrals.
After the race starts, volunteers move to the Secure Zone at Finish Line. Volunteer in this area may be handing out medals, distribute various food/snack items, water, Gatorade and chocolate milk. Depending on the weather, volunteers will distribute cold wet towels or mylar blankets to the athletes. Only athletes, volunteers and staff are allowed in this area. Once the athlete leaves the Secure Zone, they are no allowed back into the area.

The Rock'n'Roll Chicago Half Marathon is a fun event where individuals can earn community service hours while supporting St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, our national charity, along with numerous other non-profits who are running to raise money for their organizations. Our volunteers play a key role in the success of the race as well as the health & safety of our runners.
