About Veteran Comic Con
139 Hollyhock Court, Hercules, CA 94547, US
AfroComicCon entertains, educates, and unites a diverse, global audience around comics, arts, media, technology, and culture. We establish a platform to showcase and empower artists who have historically been denied access to equal opportunity.
AfroComiccon is an annual comic convention that promotes diverse professionals who are underrepresented in the arts, media, and entertainment industries. The attendees enjoy a positive and inspiring experience that is both entertaining and educational. We offer panels and workshops, live high tech demos such as motion capture and VR, costume contests, fashion how, artist/vendor booths, theme room, gaming, a mini film festival, music, food and more! Our second event, AfroComicCon (AFCC), will take place on October 19, 20, and 21, 2018 at SAE Expression College in Emeryville, CA and at Chapter 510, Department of Make Believe. The inaugural event in 2017 was a huge success, drawing more than 300 community members. Our goal is to raise $100,000 in order to support the ongoing and new programs for this year's event.
We'll work with your schedule.
