This opportunity is for a Long Term Care community (nursing home). After years of dedicated service our volunteer who conducts Sunday morning service for the residents has decided to step down.
Our residents largely do not have the health or transportation to attend Sunday services within the surrounding community. This building is their home, and Sunday morning church is important to many of them!
Looking for a volunteer to lead a church service for the residents on the 1st and 3rd Sunday morning (9:30AM-10:15/10:30AM) of the month. Volunteers need not be official chaplains or otherwise trained/educated. This opportunity is open to anyone called to minister to the elderly and bring His word to the residents. Typically our services are nondenominational and informal, consisting of prayer, Bible passages, and the singing of hymns! Volunteers are not expected to give a sermon, unless they feel called to do so!
