Until We Get Cars That Fold Into Briefcases, We Need YOU!
ORGANIZATION: Hopelink
Please visit the new page to apply.
Someday, we envision a world free of poverty where everyone has cars that fold up into briefcases (like in The Jetsons). However, we don't live in that world quite yet and people still need to visit the food bank and cars have to sit in parking spaces as they always have needed to.
Hopelink's Kirkland Food Bank needs your help to manage our parking lot and make sure our clients have an easy experience finding a spot when they go to the food bank.
On Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM, you'll monitor our parking lot and ensure that cars for other businesses are not taking the spots meant for Hopelink clients.
Your kindness will make the lives of people living in poverty just a little bit easier!

Mission Statement
The mission of Hopelink is to promote self-sufficiency for all members of our community; we help people make lasting change.
Description
Hopelink is the largest private, non-profit, social service agency in north and east King County. Hopelink started in 1971 in Bothell to assist families who had been affected by Boeing lay-offs with job search services. Since then, Hopelink has grown to include six emergency service centers and food banks, and programs in housing, family development, childcare, transportation, and more. In July of 2001, Eastside Literacy became a program of Hopelink, adding Adult Literacy and English as a Second Language services to our programs. Over 2000 Hopelink volunteers help their neighbors work towards lasting change each year.
