MCRD Museum Foundation - San Diego, CA

The Non-Profit Business Development intern will provide day-to- day support for the MCRD Museum Development Department and report directly to the Director of Donor Relations. This internship will offer a hands-on opportunity to be a part of the planning and implementation of our annual development plan to include budget formations, fundraising initiatives, event planning and execution as well as donor relations and stewardship processes. Applicants should have strong communication and organizational skills, knowledge of social media platforms and the desire to be an integral part of a dynamic servant leadership team.

Applicants must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with the development team and Director of Donor Relations.

Responsibilities:

Assist with developing and implementing business/marketing strategies

Promote Foundation events

Assist with creating marketing materials such as flyers, ask letters, and event collateral

Coordinate with the Director of Marketing on promoting events

Research and explore new development strategies

Research and develop new partnerships with other organizations

Special event support

Data entry and recording support

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, etc. preferred

Experience and a level of comfort in all communication from in person, online, and over the phone

Strong organizational skills and knowledge of word, excel, and adobe
