Duties/Responsibilities :

The Navigation Assistant directly supports the Guest Navigator at the front desk and throughout the building. This individual will provide support and safety to clients and ensure streamlined access to services. They will do so by providing initial screenings and needs assessments with clients. They will be responsible for escorting clients to appropriate services in the building. They will assist with crisis phone calls, assist with crisis walk-ins, and facilitate communication between the front desk and partners throughout the building.

Qualifications:

Dedication to the mission of Rose Andom Center and understanding of the importance of a hope-driven model of service. Positive attitude. Adaptability and willingness to learn. Basic understanding of trauma and trauma-informed care. Excellent people skills. Background check required. Completion of Rose Andom Center Direct Service Training and participation in monthly volunteer/intern meetings.

Time Commitment:

4 hour shifts (9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm) at least twice per month. 1 year commitment required.

Training/Support Provided:

20-hour direct service training

On-site, ongoing support from Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator, Program Coordinator, Guest Navigator, and Intake Team.

Monthly volunteer/intern meetings, with varying training topics to continue skills development.
