Summer Volunteering OPPORTUNITY:

For teens age 15+

Volunteer at Summer Horse Camp in Webster, NY!!!

Jr. Counselor (age 14-15) *no horse experience necessary*
Counselor (age 16 +)

Camp days are Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm: (partial hours fine, just let us know your availability!)
Weekly, June 27 through Sept 2

Family friendly, encouraging environment at a small not for profit Stables (see attached link for more about the Stables and Foundation) in the heart of Webster.

Join us in making horse camp a blast this summer with a great group of kids each week!

Bring your enthusiasm and creative flair to help facilitate games and other activities.
You, and all staff members (who usually become new best friends!!!), will be expected to model kindness and patience to each other and the campers as you work as a team to make each day the best experience possible for each person!

Both Jr. Counselors and Counselors will interact with and help supervise campers, initiate conversations to help make each person feel comfortable and included, guide campers to and from their activities, make sure everyone drinks water, wears sunscreen and bug spray ... kind of like being awesome and fun big sisters and brothers!

All hours worked count towards Community Service (great for school, job or special clubs) as proceeds from camps directly support Never Say Never Foundation, a NYS 501c3 not-for-profit charitable service organization serving children with special needs. Have a blast this summer doing something GOOD!

About Never Say Never Foundation

Location:

906 Maple Dr, Webster, NY 14580, US

Mission Statement

We hope to provide life-enriching, horse related activities to children and teens living with disabilities, long term illness, or other serious challenges. The equine assisted activities of this program were created to connect the healing and unconditional love of horses and other animals to the humans who need them.

Description

Never Say Never Stables is the home to horses, ponies and a variety of other loving animals who bring joy, hope, and healing to many children and their families through the work of Never Say Never Foundation. It is a special place away from the reality of physical, mental and emotional challenges where children can find happiness in the presence of a special horse or other animal. Our volunteer staff assist children in riding, petting, grooming, feeding, and handling the horses. Our volunteers are special, and without them this unique program would not be possible. Never Say Never Foundation is a not-for-profit organization providing equine assisted activities and educational experiences to children of all abilities through services and programs, such as camps, educational field trips, and special events.
