Gentiva Hospice is looking for 2 administrative volunteers! If have an hour a week, you can make a significant difference in someone's life and improve your own as well. We currently have two volunteer opportunities open for in office Administrative Volunteers.

Administrative Volunteers are needed to assist with office-related work: filing, organizational duties, assisting with mailings, and various other simple tasks.

What does it take to be a volunteer? The biggest requirement is a desire to give your time, talents, and heart in support of hospice patients and their families. You will also complete a comprehensive volunteer training, receive TB testing, and undergo a complete a criminal background check and drug screening.

We would love to find out what your passions and talents are and help you share them with individuals and families to improve their quality of life. We are very flexible and innovative and will work with your schedule; if you have a gift, we will find a way for you to help! We appreciate any and all help.

Description

Our goals include always treating our families with respect, always honoring our families' care wishes, to provide the very best care, to meet all spiritual, social, and physical needs through our services, and to make the hospice experience honorable and meaningingful for our families. Hospice volunteers are an essential part of providing support, and the process is mutually rewarding and beneficial for both volunteer and recipient. Volunteers are carefully vetted and undergo comprehensive training to learn about the hospice philosophy, relating to families' experiences and how to best contribute to care.
