Best Buddies is looking for community leaders to promote the mission of Best Buddies by competing in an 8 week campaign as a Champion of the Year Candidate. Candidates commit to raising funds (a minimum of $3,000) and awareness for Best Buddies Nevada that will allow us to continue supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Nevada to form one-to-one friendships, leadership development and integrated employment opportunities. Candidates will attend Kick Off, and Best Buddies Gala where the Champion of the Year will be crowned. Best Buddies will providing training and resources for all candidates. Champion of the Year nominees are selected based on individual professional and philanthropic achievements as well as their passion for the Best Buddies mission.

Best Buddies is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our programs empower the special abilities of people with IDD by helping them form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communication skills, and feel valued by society.
