Bristol Hospice of Pueblo (formerly Suncrest Hospice) is looking for 11th Hour Volunteers. These volunteers are "on-call" during specific hours of the the day to sit with patients that are actively dying. Patients who have little or no family members nearby often find themselves isolated and alone during their last days. Our 11th Hour Volunteers keep vigil to provide a comforting presence needed by patients and families in the final hours of life.
11th Hour Volunteers can help by:
Being a calm presence during a difficult time
Sitting with the patient and/or family member
Talking softly or singing to the patient
Sharing a sacred silence
Holding hands, massaging hands or feet
Praying, reading inspirational text or scripture
Honoring cultural and faith traditions of the patient
If you are interested in being a part of this very sacred time in a person's life, please contact us for more information. We provide the training that we feel you need to be successful and you are always supported by our entire staff.
Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care and customer service to our patients, their families, and our referring sources. We believe that exceptional clinical care must include clear communication, a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, and a dedication to deliver services with passion and integrity.
Bristol Hospice is a hospice agency that allows patients to spend precious time with loved ones in the comfort of their own place of residence. Hospice care aims to treat the symptoms of the disease process and to fully support the patient and their family.
