Do you have a passion to help those who are less mobile than you? Someone who is not quite as physically and/ or mentally capable of having the ability to go places or enjoy life as you do? Then why not share your gift of time with a patient on his/her limited journey through the remainder of life! No special skills are necessary, just a listening ear and an open heart will become some of the most rewarding time you'll ever spend. Elara Caring is currently looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional care to local hospice patients. As a volunteer, you will provide companionship, play cards/games, reminisce about life, etc There is no physical care involved. Hours are flexible around your own schedule- weekdays, evenings or weekends. Typically, we ask that you would visit your assigned patient 1-2 hours per week. So consider all life has given you and maybe give back to someone who would like to meet a caring person.
