Volunteer Services helps low income seniors and adults living with disabilities remain living independently in their own homes/apartments. You can help with this from an office setting! The Seattle office of Volunteer Services is looking for office volunteers to help with various tasks. Fit your help into your schedule! Skills requested include:
Ability to learn processes quickly
Computer knowledge including working in spreadsheets
Strong telephone communication
Attention to detail
Office volunteers help during the week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:30 and 5 at the Seattle office (100- 23 rd Avenue South -on 23 rd and Yesler) depending on staff availability. Most volunteers help for a few hours at a time, as often as once or twice a week. We need help with calling volunteers’ references and calling clients to check in and administer a brief satisfaction survey. Volunteers who enjoy talking to people enjoy this chance connect with people over the phone. You will get to hear directly from clients how their lives are impacted by volunteers, and you'll get to hear from references about the amazing people who volunteer with us to serve their neighbors.
