The Opportunity:

We are seeking volunteers to join Symphony staff in setting up an evening of music and fun for thousands of East Bay families at our annual Independence Eve Celebration Concert!

We will be setting up 1200 chairs at The Craneway Pavilion. Must be able to lift and carry folding chairs.

NOTE: This volunteer opportunity is on Tuesday, July 2nd. This is NOT the same day as the concert.

About the Independence Eve Celebration Concert:

The Oakland Symphony joins forces with the City of Richmond to present a free Independence Eve Celebration on July 3rd at the Craneway Pavilion. This free event is fun for the whole family, with live music, food, an instrument petting zoo and spectacular fireworks over the bay! The centerpiece of the evening is a free concert by the Oakland Symphony conducted by Michael Morgan, featuring Sousa marches, music from the movies, singalongs and more.

In the nine years since its inception, this event has become one of the Bay Area’s most popular and talked-about Independence Day celebrations.

Come have fun with us!
