The Opportunity:

We are seeking festive volunteers for the following roles:

- Greeter
- Information & Pedestrian Traffic Guide
- VIP Check-in
- Chair set-up & tear-down (must be able to lift folding chairs)

Enjoy an evening of music and fun while making this event possible for thousands of East Bay families!

The Event:

The Oakland Symphony joins forces with the City of Richmond to present a free Independence Eve Celebration at the Craneway Pavilion. This free event is fun for the whole family, with live music, food, an instrument petting zoo and spectacular fireworks over the bay! The centerpiece of the evening is a free concert by the Oakland Symphony conducted by Michael Morgan, featuring Sousa marches, music from the movies, singalongs and more.

In the nine years since its inception, this event has become one of the Bay Area’s most popular and talked-about Independence Day celebrations.

Oakland Symphony was founded in July 1988. Oakland Symphony aims to make classical music accessible, particularly to those individuals in the community who might otherwise never hear live symphonic music.
