Our TV show about local crafters needs a Sound Recordist. We film on 2 Fridays per month between the hours of noon and 5 pm. You would set up the sound equipment and run it during the filming of the show which is in the artist's studios in the Portland area.
This task takes ultimate concentration and attention to detail. You'll need to log each recorded shot and make sure that the sound quality is good and that it is recorded correctly.
We are willing to train. Our recording style is the same as is used in professional short films so you would be learning an essential filmmaking skill. If you already are an experienced sound recordist, that's great, we'd love to have you join our team!
Our show is on local TV channels and on YouTube. You'll receive screen credits.

Sustainability Works was founded in 2007 and began as a community garden and tv show about sustainability. We now focus on succinct media for quick messaging on how to be sustainable. Our main focus is on botanical issues like pollinator gardens and backyard food crops. We believe that restoring native habitat, choosing the right garden plants, and the right to grow food plants in within our communities will go a long way in bringing clean air and clean water back. We strive to create vibrant films, photos, art, and other media that inspire people to get connect with nature.
