We hold 2 weekly Parkinson's Exercise classes in North Austin on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 am- 11:30 am, and are looking for regular volunteers who can commit to assisting once or twice a week, a long-term commitment would be greatly appreciated.
Volunteer responsibilities include arriving 15 minutes early to help set up the room, signing in participants when they arrive, some light balance spotting, and assistance with handing out equipment during class. If interested, you can try a class before committing to ensure that it is a good fit. We have an incredibly warm and grateful group of instructors and attendees, so we feel sure you'll love it!
We offer 10 classes each week in 8 locations all around Austin, so if this time doesn't work, we'd love to help you find one that does! Contact us for more information.

Mission Statement
Power for Parkinson's provides free fitness, dance, and singing classes for people with Parkinson's and their care partners locally in Austin, TX and around the world through an online home video series. Description
Power for Parkinson’s was founded in 2013 on the idea that the Parkinson's community needed a welcoming, inclusive space to meet and engage in group exercise. Since then, the organization has provided free weekly exercise, dance, and singing classes to hundreds of people living with Parkinson's in the Austin community. Power for Parkinson’s participants look forward to their weekly classes and social events, have an improved sense of well being, and report they are doing better physically, emotionally, and socially. In addition to weekly classes in the Austin, TX area, Power for Parkinson's has build a global community providing free at-home exercise videos via YouTube. The videos have since been viewed in over 160 countries around the world.
