Family and Children's Services

Your voice is a powerful tool that can help to raise concern about mental health issues and awareness of Family & Children’s Services counseling, education and support services. Community outreach volunteers help FCS realize our vision: for everyone to feel welcome to come as they are and leave as they want to be.

Volunteers are needed to represent FCS at health and wellness fairs and community events, provide materials and basic information about our programs and services, and help improve public awareness of issues affecting mental health and emotional well-being. This position is a great alternative (or addition) to a weekly volunteer commitment.

Outreach events are ongoing and include opportunities in the evening and on weekends. Volunteers attend a training session and partner with FCS staff or current volunteers at several events before attending events on their own. We are seeking volunteers with excellent interpersonal skills and reliable transportation. Background check required.
