Help combat food insecurity with Project for Pride in Living! In partnership with Good in the Hood, PPL is running a pilot program titled "Food Shelf in a Box". This is an opportunity to run a food shelf on site once a month for 24 families, providing a weeks worth of groceries by the end of the day.

We are currently looking for groups of volunteers to ensure that this program is as successful as possible! The first shift is from 10am-12:00 pm and involves unloading food from the delivery pallets, setting up the tables, and making sure the space is ready for distribution.

The second shift is an opportunity to act as a "personal shopper" for residents during the food shelf hours from 1-3 pm, help residents get their food up to their units in the building, and cleaning up the space once the day is done. This is an amazing opportunity to provide an essential service for low income families and those working to transition from a situation of homelessness.
