Volunteer purpose and impact
The Children’s Summer Program Volunteer will participate in the LSS-SW Refugee Services summer program by supervising activities and assisting teachers in the classroom. This volunteer position will include 16-20 hours per week from July 8, 2019 to July 25, 2019.
Responsibilities and key deliverables- Facilitate group activities
- Help supervise lunch and recess times
- Facilitate and supervise daily activities with joint collaborative organizations
High school graduate, college degree or current college student preferred. Should have prior experience teaching children and working with children.
Working conditionsThis is an off-site volunteer position that would work at Valencia Newcomer School, 3802 W Maryland Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85019.
Clearances required & trainingFingerprint clearance card required. Central registry check required.
Location & timeframeJuly 8, 2019 - July 25, 2019
Monday - Thursday - 11am-3pm, plus setup/cleanup
