Home of the Innocents provides services to many children and families throughout the community. Many of those served come to us for parenting classes, support groups, life skills classes, and more. When our clients come to attend these very important and informative sessions, they bring their children as they don't always have child care. Volunteers are needed to assist staff with child care so that the parents can attend their session.
Child care consists of helping staff with the infant/toddler aged children and assisting with the older school aged children with such activities as helping with homework, puzzles/games, drawing/coloring and interacting with children as they play. Volunteers may also assist behind the scenes with set up, meal prep/serve, and clean up.
Opportunities exist every weekday evening (Monday through Friday) with a primary focus on Tuesday evenings. Volunteer need exists in both Louisville and Southern Indiana. Times needed are approximately 5:30/6:00pm - 8:00/8:30pm
Available to both junior (ages 13-17) volunteers and those 18 and older.
Must complete application process.
