Special Olympics Area 6 is in need of a motivated individual to assist with grant-writing, and planning fundraisers to support the 1100 athletes of the local Special Olympics. We rely completely on donations to serve these athletes with sports and leadership programs, and would love your help!

Mission Statement
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Description
Serving Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties, Area 6 of the South Carolina Special Olympics organizes eleven sports programs for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. We have about 1000 athletes in the Area, and hope to continue to grow!
