Over 100 youth (Littles) are waiting to be matched with a mentor (Big) and over 90% are boys. From June 1st until June 30th, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa has a goal to recruit 30 men to become Bigs in our Community-Based Mentoring Program.
By mentoring a child, you defend their potential. You inspire and empower them to believe in themselves and achieve their biggest possible future.
As a Big in our Community-Based Mentoring program, you and your Little get together for 4 hours each month, with a minimum commitment of 1 year. You can also mentor a child with a friend, spouse or family member by being a Big Duo or Family Match.

REQUIREMENTS
- 4 hours each month, with a minimum commitment of 1 year
- Volunteers must be 18 years old or older and complete a questionnaire, orientation, interview and home visit. We conduct background checks on each of our volunteers to ensure the safety of the child.
